Dates businesses plan around
For a business on the calendar year, the usual federal due dates are:
- January 31: W-2s to employees and 1099-NECs to contractors, and both filed.
- March 15: partnership (Form 1065) and S corporation (Form 1120-S) returns.
- April 15: C corporation returns (Form 1120).
- End of the month after each quarter: quarterly payroll tax returns (Form 941).
When a date falls on a weekend or legal holiday, it moves to the next business day, and the IRS sometimes postpones deadlines for Florida counties after a hurricane. All the usual dates
